Principal's
report
As we prepare for 2025, our class structures are as follows: Molly Crawford will lead a Prep/1 class, Alice Mareska a 1/2 class, Katelyn Ardley a 2/3 class, Tom Francis a 4/5 class, and Michelle Taylor a 5/6 class. Splitting some grades will help balance class sizes and group dynamics.
Our Before and After School Care will transition from Theircare to TOSHcare in 2025, managed by the Toora School Council. Enrolments are now open—visit our website to register: https://tooraps.vic.edu.au/oshc/.
The School Saving Bonus is progressing, and details were shared on Compass. We’re not yet ready to process uniform orders with the bonus, but we’ll notify you once set up.
A few quick reminders:
- The last day of term is Thursday, December 19th, with no early finish. Friday, December 20th, is a student-free day.
- As the weather warms up, all students MUST have a hat to play outside.
- Attendance is vital—let’s maintain strong attendance through to the last day of term!
- Statewide Transition Day is Tuesday, December 10th. Students will spend the day with their 2025 teacher. Please ensure they arrive on time.

TheirCare
TheirCare is the school’s Before and After School Care provider. If you’d like your child to access Before or After School Care please register with the provider directly via their website (http://theircare.com.au/). Attendance
A friendly reminder to please log any absences on the Compass App. Whilst we appreciate parents communicating absences with teachers or staff, we do still require parents to add an absence note on Compass. We would like to thank parents for their continued efforts to ensure their children’s absences are kept to a minimum and have a valid reason such as illness, medical appointments or family holidays.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club is on EVERY Tuesday morning from 8:40am. All children are welcome to come and have some breaky but we ask that children arrive before 8:45am if they are wishing to eat breakfast before the 9am start of the school day.
Sun hats
A reminder that hats are now compulsory for both recess and lunch. Please ensure students bring their hats every day to stay sun-safe during outdoor activities. Thank you for your cooperation!
